This annual ceremony honors the service of all veterans and their families. The ceremony concludes at 11:11 am, in honor of the Armistice, with the solar illumination of the Great Seal of the United States through the ellipses of the five armed services pillars of the Anthem Veterans Memorial (weather permitting).

Program Overview
The ceremony will commence with breakfast service from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., graciously provided by Tennessee Grill, a veteran-owned establishment.
Our program will open with a special video presentation from CCV Anthem, followed by an invocation delivered by Pastor Jared Medlin. Executive Director Aaron Baker will serve as master of ceremonies.
The ceremony will feature the presentation of the prestigious Anthem Veterans Service Award and recognition of STEM scholarship recipients, presented by Board Chair Dino Cotton. Remarks will be delivered to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the United States Army, Navy and USMC and we won't leave out the Air Force, Coast Guard and Space Force. Captain Bruce Kosaveach(USN Ret.) will speak in honor of the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War.
The formal program will conclude with Rear Admiral Ron Tucker (USN Ret.) will introduce our distinguished keynote speaker, Rear Admiral William Putnam (USN Ret.).
Special Presentations
Daisy Mountain Quilters will conduct a meaningful ceremony unveiling the Daisy Mountain Quilts of Valor, followed by a Future Soldier Swearing-In ceremony.
Musical entertainment will be provided throughout the event by Musical Theater of Anthem.
Logistics and Directions to the ceremony
Seating and parking for the Nov. 11 ceremony is limited. Please bring lawn chairs or blankets. Parking in the lot nearest to the Anthem Veterans Memorial is intended for those who cannot walk long distances; if this does not apply to you, please park in the middle or lower lots, or at the Community Center and access the park via the footbridge.
A high-definition LED screen will project the ceremony and photos/videos of veterans and will capture the 11:11 a.m. moment when the sun’s rays pass through the five Armed Services pillars’ ellipses to cast a solar spotlight over the mosaic of the Great Seal of the United States (weather permitting). For safety, the Memorial will be roped off; attendees will be allowed to approach the Memorial during the ceremony or the 11:11 a.m. spotlight up to the roped off area. The Memorial will open for visitors following the ceremony.
The Anthem Veterans Memorial is in Anthem Community Park, 41703 N. Gavilan Peak Parkway. Take I-17 to exit 229. Turn east (right) onto Anthem Way, and then turn south (right) onto Gavilan Peak Parkway. The Memorial is on the left at the four-way stop signs and entrance to the park.
Anthem Veterans Service Award
The Anthem Community Council (ACC) selects one outstanding individual or group to recognize their extraordinary service and selfless dedication in support of our nation's veterans. The award is presented as part of the Anthem Veterans Day Ceremony. The public is invited to submit a nomination (PDF). The deadline for nominations is the first Friday in October.
